Paul C. Prochaska, age 74, of Port Washington, WI died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI.

He was born December 27, 1946 in Port Washington to Frank and Susan Blong Prochaska.  He graduated from Port Washington High School in 1965 and began working along side his father at Prochaska Electric.  Paul met Barbara Ansay and on March 15, 1980 they were married at St. Mary’s Church in Port Washington, WI.  He continued to run the family business and Barb worked with him while raising the family.

Paul was a bowler and sponsored the Prochaska Electric team for many years, collecting many trophies along the way.  When not working, he enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and waterskiing.  He also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin.  A hard worker he was always ready with a smile or wave to those he knew around town.

He is survived by his wife Barb and sons Frank Prochaska of Grafton, WI and Troy (Lisa) Prochaska of Belgium, WI.  Further survived by his sisters Carol (Spike) Heniadis and Lois (Roger) Galler, both of Port Washington, WI; his sister-in-law Arlene Prochaska of Saukville, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Frank Prochaska.

Fr. Patrick Wendt will officiate memorial services at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Poole Funeral Home, 203 N Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI.  Visitation from 4 – 6:30 pm Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials to St. John XXIII Catholic Parish appreciated.

  1. My thoughts and prayers to Barb and the family. Paul was a kind, and sensible person. We grew up like cousins; Paul’s mother Susan Blong Prochaska and my great-aunt Lydia Blong Burton were sisters. Paul and I both graduated from PWHS in 1965. I was happy to hire Paul to fix our electrical problems a couple of times over the years. Paul will be missed by many.

  2. Paul was a PWHS 1965 class member. May he rest in peace. Sympathies to Barb, Frank and Troy.

  3. Very close friend many years ago while we were in high school. Very sorry to hear of his passing. We will keep the family in our prayers. RIP.

  4. Sorry for your loss Troy.

  5. Barb, Troy and Frank, Sorry to hear of your loss. I have not seen Paul in quite a while but heard of his health challenges. Deepest sympathy, Ronda & Allan Haasch
