Joan A. Bradway, 69, of Oak Court in Port Washington, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Columbia Campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She was born May 28, 1935 in Milwaukee to Ford and Vera Bucknoll Penney. She met Kenneth W. Bradway of Waupaca, WI and they were married February 7, 1954. They moved to Port Washington in 1963 and Kenneth taught at Grafton High School while she raised their family. He preceded her in death June 24, 1973. Joan was a good mom and enjoyed reading and movies. She was a former member of the Port Yacht Club and served as secretary.
She is survived by her daughters Sue (Mike) Medinger of Oostburg and Cathy (Dave) Brown of Fredonia. She was a proud grandmother of Justin and David Medinger and Nick, Adam and Allen Brown and great grandmother of Aidan Medinger. Further survived by brother Dennis (Nancy) Penney of Oshkosh, WI; niece Doreen Hedtke of Appleton, WI; other relatives and friends. Preceded by her brother Gary Penney and dear friend Earl Riedel.
Family will be celebrating the completion of her life 7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Time of fellowship 4 – 7 pm Friday.
I miss my grandmother so. I regret never getting to know her.
