Dolores M. Wollner, 89, formerly of North Riverside Drive in Saukville died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Lawliss Family Hospice of Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon, Wisconsin.
She was born June 26, 1925 in the town of Saukville, Wisconsin to Ralph and Freida Walgenbach Schreiner. She grew up in the area and on April 12, 1947 married Carl Wollner at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. Together they raised their family in Saukville.
Dolores was a great cook and fisherman and was active at her church, Immaculate Conception Parish in Saukville. She was a member of the Christian Women and also a member of the Landt-Thiel American Legion Post 470 Auxiliary, Saukville. She was the family caregiver, doting on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the primary caregiver for her husband until his death on August 26, 2008. She moved to Lincoln Village in Port Washington in June, 2014.
She is survived by her children Kathleen (Thomas) Brown of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Diane (Frederick) Kinzfogl of Hubertus, Gerald (Bernadine) Wollner of Waukesha, Debra (Randy) Weyker of Port Washington, Mary (James) Paulin of Port Washington and Lori (Gary) Boelter of West Bend. Further survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Janet (John) Brickner of Auburndale, WI and Mildred (the late Bud) Kaiser of Mequon, brother-in-law Herbert (LaVerne) Wollner of Cedarburg, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl, brothers Donald Schreiner and Allen and his wife Ruby Schreiner and sister-in-law Marion and her husband Merlyn “Sleepy” Scharnow.
Rev. Patrick Wendt will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial 6 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 145 W Church Street, Saukville. Interment parish cemetery. Visitation 3pm to 6pm Tuesday at the church. Memorials to Immaculate Conception Church or the American Cancer Society appreciated.
