Kathleen M. Tesker, 70, formerly of Saukville, died at her most current St. Louis Metro Area residence on August 8, 2016.
She was born July 9, 1946 to George and Ordella Schaefer Tesker in Port Washington, Wisconsin. She grew up on the family farm on County I in the Town of Saukville. She attended Port Washington High School. She played the French horn in the band and was a Badger Girl. After graduation in 1964 she attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, played with the band and graduated in 1968. She continued her education and was one of the first women to receive a Masters of Engineering in Management Engineering degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1977.
Kathleen worked for the Wisconsin Telephone Company and later for the McDonald Douglas Corporation. Most recently she worked as a Financial Advisor. She also instructed college classes in Mathematics and Computer Science. Since age 16 and throughout her lifetime Kathleen played french horn in municipal bands and also the Milwaukee Catholic Symphony Orchestra.
She is survived by her brother Daniel Tesker of Saukville, other relatives and friends. Her parents and sister Susan Tesker preceded her in death.
The Rev. Patrick Wendt will Celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 6 pm Thursday, August 18, 2016 at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, Immaculate Conception Church, 145 W Church Street, Saukville. Visitation 4 – 6 pm Thursday AT CHURCH with a rosary at 4 pm. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saukville on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 9:30 am.
A memorial service will be held at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 615 Dunn Road, Hazelwood, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10 am with fellowship and lunch to follow.
