StPeterTammyTammy J. St. Peter, 40, of Martin Lane in Fredonia, Wisconsin died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Columbia Campus, Milwaukee.

She was born September 29, 1967 in Long Beach, California to Thomas and Jane Santy Schauer.  They lived in Chicago, Illinois for a few years and moved to Port Washington in 1978 when Tammy was in sixth grade.  After graduating from Port Washington High School she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cardinal Stritch University and received a Masters in Education from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.

Tammy married Jay St. Peter of the town of Port Washington on June 9, 1990 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington.  She began teaching sixth and seventh grades at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and then taught fourth grade at Dunwiddie Elementary School.  Teaching and family were her life.  She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking and teddy bears.

She is survived by her husband Jay and children Justin, Savannah and Trevor of Fredonia.  Further survived by her parents Tom and Jane Schauer of Port Washington, in-laws John and Sandra St. Peter of Belgium, siblings Steve (Kristin) Schauer of Fredonia, Sherry (Dan) Hovey of Port Washington, Jennifer (Ryan) Campbell of Thiensville, Jill Schauer of Port Washington and Karen (Ryan) Lusher of Saukville, brothers-in-law Jeff (Paula) St. Peter of Saukville and Scott (Debbie) St. Peter of Cedarburg, grandmother Marieta Schauer of Brooksville, Florida, other relatives and many friends.   Preceded by grandparents Joseph Schauer, John and Virginia Santy, Norman and Edna Hoeft and Clarence and Maxine St. Peter.

Rev. Patrick Wendt will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 7:30 pm Friday, December 21, 2007 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N Wisconisn Street, Port Washington.  Interment parish Cemetery.  Visitation 3:30 – 7:15 pm Friday at church.  Memorials to the Tammy J. St. Peter Memorial Fund (C/O Associated Bank, 222 N Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI 53074) appreciated.
