Amy Marie Rammel, age 37, of Fox Glen Road in Fredonia died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend, WI after a five year battle with breast cancer.
She was born on April 22, 1976, daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth Bartz Roberts in Marquette, MI. Her family moved to Port Washington, WI where she attended local schools, graduating from Port Washington High School in 1995.
She became a Dental Assistant after graduating from Lakeland College in Sheboygan. She later became an X-ray Technician after studying at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC).
On January 28, 2004, Amy married Kevin A. Rammel of Port Washington on the Island of St. Lucia with family and friends. She had resided in Fredonia for many years and attended St. John Lutheran Church there.
Amy was a very busy mom who loved her family, her friends and her co-workers. She loved her job at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. She was friendly to all, had an infectious smile and shared happiness to those around her. Even through her treatments, she strived to get back to her family and work. She was an avid walker, enjoyed the outdoors through camping, hiking and touring on the motorcycle. She remained strong and fought to the end.
She is survived by her husband Kevin, daughters Paige and Taylor, her maternal grandparents Glen and Nelda Bartz of Port Washington, her parents Raymond and Elizabeth Roberts of Baileys Harbor, her sister Melissa “Missy” (Chris) Houck of Brevard, NC; her nephew Kaiden Houck, brothers-in-law Mike (Lisa) Rammel of Dayton, OH, Brian Rammel of Menomonee Falls and Paul (Stephanie) Rammel of Belgium, other relatives, co-workers and many friends.
