PoullMariaRMaria R. Poull, age 50, of West Walters Street, Port Washington peacefully died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Lawlis Hospice of Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon after a short battle with cancer.

 

She was born on December 27, 1962 in Milwaukee, daughter of James and Celeste Miller.  In 1966, the family moved to Port Washington where she attended local schools.  She lived in Fredonia for many years raising her family before returning to Port Washington.   In January, 2005 she married James “Jim” Poull, Jr. in Port Washington.

 

Maria worked at the EST Corporation in Grafton for quite awhile.  She was a clerk at Beck’s Grand Avenue gas station for a few years and more recently was a sales associate/assistant manager for the Duluth Trading Company in Port Washington.  She had found her calling in this job; loved the work and the people.  She will be remembered for her social and outgoing personality, her adoration of her family and the joy she found in her flowers and her garden.

 

She is survived by her husband, Jim, her children Christopher (Jennifer) Grell of Cudahy, Amanda (Joseph) Robertson of Port Washington and Brian Poull of Port Washington; six grandchildren Anya, Logan, Aidan, Christopher Jr., Leah and Sadie, her mom Celeste Miller of Glendale, her sister Jessica Miller of Milwaukee, her brother Michael Miller of Grafton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Maria is preceded in death by her dad James Miller.

 

A celebration of Maria’s life will be held after 5PM Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Holiday Inn Harborview, 135 E. Grand Ave., Port Washington.  The lower level meeting room, lounge and pool will be available to share and support Maria’s family.  In keeping with her giving spirit, her body has been donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin.  Memorials to the family are appreciated.

  1. Happy heavenly birthday my dearest friend. Not one birthday goes by, that I don’t stop, and run through all the memories we made. Shae and Skylar miss you horribly. They too, remember every birthday, and every November 9th. You would be so proud of the young ladies they’ve become. We love and miss you…….always. ❤ ~j~
