Michael L. Mattson, Jr., age 50, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Born in Port Washington, WI on December 29, 1971; Mike was the son of Michael and Karen K. Dickmann Mattson, Sr.
Mike grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with his dad and grandma Fern. Over the years he had resided throughout the state of Wisconsin. He enjoyed classic country and 80’s rock music, watching TV and current events. Mike liked to go out to eat and play board games with his housemates and especially watching the Young and the Restless soap daily.
Mike is survived by his dad Michael Mattson Sr., uncles Ken (Paula) Dickmann and Dale Dickmann, other relatives and friends.
A family mass will be celebrated for Mike at St. John XXIII Parish – St. Peter of Alcantara Church, Port Washington with interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.
We knew Mike when he lived in Door County Wisconsin. We would bring him to Port to visit his mom Karen and I found out his mom was Karen Dickman who I went to school with. It is a small world. I just happened to see his name listed here in the obits. We could not find him once he left Door County due to privacy issues, but always wondered where he was. He was a kind and happy soul who we had thought of often.
So sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a nice guy. I would see him on his visits to Port Washington when he came to his mom Karen, grandma Sylvia and aunt Donna’s house. I wish peace to Mike’s Family during this trying time.
