Christine Rose Kontny Leggitt, age 44, of Fredonia, WI died unexpectedly August 24, 2020 in Waubeka, WI.

She was born May 9, 1976 in Green Bay, WI to Richard and Joan Pasterski Kontny.  The family moved to Fredonia, WI in 1978 where she attended local schools. After high school she moved to Manassas, VA.  She attended East Coast Polytechnic Institute to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and was second in her class.  In 2012 she returned to the Fredonia area and worked as a LPN at various health care facilities.

Christine was a soup maker extraordinaire and made the most amazing chicken dumpling soup of all time. She  enjoyed quilting and crafting and the outdoors, especially canoeing or sitting around a fire.  Often referred to as the “fun aunt” at family functions, she was a social person who enjoyed family and friends.  Christine loved her daughters and will be remembered by her smile, which could light up the room.

She is survived by her daughters Taylor Rae Anderson of WI and Emma Lynn Rinker of VA and her siblings Richard T. (Leta) Kontny, Jr. of VA, Thomas H. Kontny of Sheboygan, WI, David C. (Denise) Kontny of VA, Danny W. Kontny of Mequon, WI, Kenneth W. (Marcie) Kontny of Random Lake, WI and Catherine G.
