Gary D. Jansen, age 63, struggled with a long term illness and passed away on August 3, 2022 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Those who were close to him said he had a “heart of gold!”

Born in Milwaukee on November 19, 1958, Gary was the son of Paul and Constance “Connie” Hamlett Jansen.  He grew up in Saukville, graduating from Port Washington High School.  Gary served in the Army, stationed in Germany from 1978-1981.

Upon his return to Wisconsin, Gary enjoyed the outdoors and a good barbeque.  He will be remembered for his kindness.  He appreciated the simple things in life. He even had a creative side with his writings and paintings.

Gary is survived by his mother Connie Schmidt of Saukville, his siblings Jeffrey Jansen, Monica (Craig “Mooch”) Medinger, Paulette (Brook Dillard) Jansen and Mary (Jeff St. Peter) Jansen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date.  Remember Gary with an act of kindness to others.

  1. I remember Gary as a sixth grade student. He was always smiling and cheerful. He was a real go getter and a pleasure to have as a student.

  2. So sorry for your loss. I’ll always remember growing up in Saukville and playing with Gary as a kid. Many good memories.
