HarmsGrantGrant D. Harms, 31, of Ceape Avenue, Oshkosh died Saturday, May 21, 2005 at Aurora Medical Center, Hartford, WI of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Washington County.

He was born on July 31, 1973 in West Allis, WI, son of Mary and Denes Pierringer Harms.  He grew up in Port Washington, graduating from high school in 1991.  On September 19, 1998 he married Heather Botsford of Port Washington in Glendale, WI.

Residing in Oshkosh the last seven years, he drove truck for Badger Federal Services of Oshkosh and Straight Shot Express of Neenah.  He had been safety director and truck driver for Ecklund Transportation of Neenah.  He had always been interested in computers so he recently enrolled in computer information system classes.  He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, love of family, music and video games.  He had quite the sense of humor and could always make people laugh.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Oshkosh.

He is survived by his wife Heather and son Seth of Oshkosh, his mother Mary (Dale) Rybacki of Grafton and father Denes (Audrey Miller) Harms of Saukville, sister Deanna (Keith) Black of Port Washington, grandpa Loschel Pierringer of Port Washington, in-laws the Reverend Michael and Jill Botsford of Whittemore, IA, brother-in-law Steve (Holly) Botsford of Milwaukee, niece Emily Black and nephews Kyle Harms and Joshua Black, other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his grandmother Ruth Pierringer and uncle Joel Pierringer

Funeral services will be held at 7PM Thursday, May 26 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St (Hwy 60), Grafton.  The Reverend Marvin Ahlborn of Trinity Lutheran Church, Oshkosh will be the officiant.  Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.  Visitation will be from 4-7PM Thursday AT CHURCH.

Grant had a zest for life and shared that by being a tissue/organ donor.  Memorials to the family regarding Seth’s education appreciated.
