Elizabeth “Betty” Braun, age 90, passed peacefully into eternity Friday, March 3, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, WI.
She was born Sept. 5, 1932 to George and Elizabeth (Hensel) Bscherer in Milwaukee, WI. She married Frank Braun on August 11, 1951 in Milwaukee. The couple moved to Lowell, IN and then to Clintonville, WI before moving to Port Washington in 1958.
She was known as Betty most of her life and was a loving, stylish, elegant woman with impeccable taste in clothes and jewelry. She worked in the composing department of the Ozaukee Press for over 30 years and at the Wilson House for a time. Her husband Frank, was an artist and the Art Teacher at PWHS for over 30 years. He preceded her in death February 26, 2012.
At the time of her death, Betty, resided at Lincoln Village Assisted Living facility in Port Washington. She enjoyed reading, travel, shopping, music and art.
She is survived by her daughter Leslie Braun, grandsons Christopher Appel and Charles (Becca) Kempke and great-granddaughters Andrea, Lux, Gabriella and Faith. Further survived by her sister Judith Bernd, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Braun, her brothers Richard, Edward, Roger and Ken Bscherer and sister Jean Hammel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1 to 3 pm at the Patio Bar and Grill Hall, 601 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI. A brief time for words of comfort and sharing will be held at 1:30 pm. All who knew her may come and celebrate.

OMG!! God bless you and your Mother. She was a great lady. My parents and yours’s are now both in Heven. Playing Sheep’s Head I am sure. Or planning another vacation together! God Bless!!
