Josephine H. St. Peter, 96, of N. Holden Street, Port Washington died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington.
She was born June 9, 1913 in Hamilton, Ohio to Frank and Catherine Schilarski Tutas. She lived in Milwaukee for a while and married Ezra St. Peter of Hermansville, Michigan on April 22, 1939 in Milwaukee. They lived for many years on W. Grand Avenue in Port Washington and in 1966 moved to N. Holden Street. In her youth, Josephine was the Gilson Family caregiver and nanny and also worked for others as a housekeeper and nanny. She enjoyed tending her flower garden and traveling with her husband to Florida, Arizona and other locations.
Josephine is survived by her husband, Ezra, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth and brothers Albert, John, Michael, Anthony and Paul Tutas, Sr.
Pastor James Engelman will officiate funeral services Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 4 pm at the funeral home. Interment Union Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation 2 – 4 pm Wednesday. Memorials to the Alzheimers Association appreciated.
