Jeffrey F. Simons, 64, of W Washington Street, Port Washington died at his residence on Wednesday, December 17, 2008.

He was born March 25, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Leon F. and Mary Ann Smith Simons.  The family moved around Southeastern Wisconsin and lived in Cedar Grove and Belgium as kids.  Jeffrey graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh and enlisted in the Army in 1965.  He served in Germany until 1967.  When he returned he moved to Colorado and began working for Werner Trucking in Denver as an Over The Road driver and dispatcher.  He retired after many years in 2005 as a semi-truck driving instructor in 2005.  He then moved to Mexico for a couple of years and returned to Port Washington in 2007.

He is survived by his sisters Nancy (Tom) Stehlik of Pensacola, Florida and Sharon (Dick) Zahn of Port Washington and a brother, John Simons of Milwaukee.  Further survived by nieces and nephews Julie (Butch) Arendt of the town of Port Washington, Michael (Leigh) Stehlik of Tallahassee, Florida and Jim (Kelly) Stehlik of Carmel, Indiana, other relatives and friends.

Jeffrey was cremated and buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.  No services were held.
