Donald H. Plier, age 84, loving husband of the late Adrianne L. Rismeyer, of the town of Port Washington, WI was called Home on Friday, November 26, 2021 while surrounded by his family at the homestead farm.

Donny was born on June 2, 1937 in Belgium, WI, the son of Sylvester and Marcella Parlow Plier.  On September 29, 1962, Donny married Adrianne Rismeyer and settled on the Plier Homestead Farm to raise their family. Donny & Adrianne were happily married for 43 years when Adrianne passed away in 2005.

Donny was a cheese maker for many years before becoming employed at Construction Forms in Port Washington, WI. Following his retirement, he enjoyed his time at their camper near Crivitz, WI, Disney World in Florida and a quick run to the casino for an afternoon of fun.  Donny was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Port Washington, WI.

Donny is survived by his three boys; Richard (Debbie) Plier, Daniel (Tracy) Plier and Patrick Plier; four grandchildren, Carrie Plier, Joshua Plier, Spencer (Kelsey) Plier and Shawna (Max) Laumann; two great grandchildren, Braelee and Chase Plier and another due to arrive in January 2022; two brothers Franklin “Joe” (Kathy) Plier, Sylvester “Butch” (Lynn) Plier; one sister Nancy (Norbert) Ansay; one sister-in-law, Effie Plier.  Don was also survived by sister-in-law, Charlotte Rismeyer and special friend and sister-in-law, Marian Rismeyer.  

Donny is preceded in death by his loving wife Adrianne, his parents Sylvester Plier and Adolph and Marcella (Plier) Witte, his parents-in-law Theodore and Lorraine Rismeyer, brother, Merlin Plier, nephew Jeff Plier, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lloyd Rismeyer, Harold “Buddy” Rismeyer, Donald (June) Rismeyer, Janis (Edward) Beke, Raymond (Jean) Rismeyer, Wally Rismeyer, Betty (Louis) Bodi, Beverly (Joe) Yovanovich, Shirley Voeller, and Clifford Rismeyer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish – St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin Street in Port Washington, WI.  Rev. Patrick Wendt will be the celebrant.  Visitation will be at the church from 2:30-5:00 PM prior to Mass.  Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington, WI.

  2. We are very sorry for your loss. I babysit for all three boys many times , we were neighbors. My husband worked at St . Alphonso hospital and new Addriane and was a pleasant person and neighbor. Our prayers go out to the whole family
