MuellerGaryGary J. Mueller, 54, of West Grand Avenue, Port Washington died Monday, June 25, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

He was born on September 29, 1957 in Port Washington, son of Jacob N. “Jake” and Ethel Codere Mueller.  He grew up in Saukville, graduated from Port Washington High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  He had been employed by Charter Steel in Saukville as a facilitator for over 31 years.

On June 1, 1985, he married Litha Kohn of Port Washington at the former Chalet On The Lake in Mequon.  Gary truly loved family and sports, especially baseball.  He coached his sons youth baseball teams with great patience and pride.  His love of family had no bounds; he and his wife have been active foster parents to over 101 children.  He was an avid Brewer and Packer fan and enjoyed fishing with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Litha, daughters Emily Mueller of St. Paul, MN and Grace Mueller and sons Jacob and Elijah Mueller, all of Port Washington; two sisters JoAnn (Gerald “PeeWee”) Mueller of Saukville, Diane (the late Patrick) McCarthy of Port Washington and his brother Terry (Judy) Mueller of Saukville, his father-in-law Ed (the late Lila) Kohn of Port Washington, sisters-in-law Lisa (Dick) Krier of Port Washington and Janet (Mike) Cook of Montello and brother-in-law Kent (Pat) Kohn of Belgium, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held 6:30PM Monday, July 2, 2012 at Friedens Church, 454 N Milwaukee St., Port Washington.  Pastor Brandon Lemons will officiate.  NO VISITATION. Family will receive friends after services in the church fellowship hall.
