George loved to tend to his impressive flower garden and yard, tell “dad” jokes, cook delicious Armenian food from scratch, and was a master turkey carver at the family’s Thanksgiving celebrations. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends, attending local festivals, dancing, as well as traveling to Tarpon Springs, Florida and Sun City, Arizona.

Upon completion of his military service, he returned home to Wisconsin where he was employed with the Square D Corporation, American Motors, and Miller Brewing Company/Ball Corporation until his retirement in 2006. Less than a year later, he accepted a seasonal position with the City of Port Washington Parks & Recreation Department where he, for the next 10 years, could be found on a lawn mower, driving the water truck, or digging in the flower gardens throughout town. In 2018, he cut his commute time down to one-minute, accepting a similar seasonal position with the Village of Random Lake where he served until the end of the 2020 season.
Devoted husband to Beth, loving father to Jeff (Norma) Manian, Katherine “Cheech” Madden, Heidi Geisler, Romy (Wade) Ayer, and Megan Manian. A special blessing to his 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to the Honorable Judge Victor (Darlene) Manian and brother-in-law to Richard (Dianna) Vernon.
