KreifEdwinEdwin Kreif, Jr., age 74, of Highway H, Waubeka (town of Fredonia) passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

He was born on October 22, 1937, son of Edwin A. and Althea Mueschke Kreif in West Bend. On February 22, 1958 he married Carol M. Keul of Port Washington at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in Waubeka. Together they have resided in Waubeka over 50 years.

A machinist by trade, Edwin worked for Power Products/Mercury Marine and OMC/Evinrude Motors of Milwaukee until his retirement. He true calling was “making sawdust”. He enjoyed carpentry, making furniture and wood craft items.

He is survived by his wife Carol, children Larry Kreif of Little Rock, Arkansas, Debra Kreif of Sheboygan, Lloyd (Deborah) Kreif of Fredonia, Julie Kreif of Lannon and Marie Kreif of Greenfield; five grandchildren Rachel, Ashley and Alex Kreif, John and Paul (Jonesha) Charles; 2 great-grandchildren Jayla and Paul Charles; three brothers William Kreif of Fond du Lac, Frank (Patricia) Kreif of Fredonia and George Kreif of San Diego, two sisters-in-law Betty (the late Gary) Langlois of Grafton and Marilyn (the late Kenneth) Keul of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law George (the Late Jane) Sonnentag of Muskego, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is also preceded in death by his parents and grandson Eric Kreif.

Funeral services will be 6PM Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 Hwy LL, Port Washington. Pastor Jim Engleman will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-6PM Monday AT CHURCH. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Waubeka. Memorials to the American Lung Association appreciated.
