We announce with great sadness, the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis Marie (Berry) Husting, 93, on July 7, 2015.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver Husting and son, Daniel John Husting. Survived by her children Patricia Willenbring, Thomas Husting (Linda Anderson), Susan (John) Mattingly, Steven (Anita Paul) Husting, and Carol Jorgensen (fiancé Alfred Cartes) as well as grandchildren Nick, Molly, and Ben (Callie Schnitker) Willenbring, Jonah (Megan) and Macrae (Dave Telindert) Husting, Sara (Steve) Clark, David (fiancé Nicole Wambold) Mattingly, Michael Mattingly, Claire and Timothy Husting, Danny (Kristen) Pond, and Rachel Jorgensen, four great-grandchildren and sister Jeanne (Mike) Schmitz.
Phyllis was an avid Reds fan and loved to sew quilts, play games and read. She was a member of the Incarnation Church Leisure Club and was a longtime volunteer at Kettering Medical Center, St. Leonard Center, and The Little Exchange in Oakwood.
In accordance with her wishes, a service will be held at St. Leonard in Centerville, Ohio on Thursday July 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with a reception following the service.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. A lunch will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Cafeteria, 430 N. Johnson Street, Port Washington.
We wish to express our gratitude to the caregivers, Debra and Lisa from Tender Hearts at Home and Charlie from Queen City Hospice for their compassion, support, and loving care provided to her these last three years, as well as the staff and volunteers at St. Leonard of Centerville where she lived for several years.
