AugustinMarieMarie M. Augustin, 89, of N. Webster Street, Port Washington died Friday, October 29, 2010 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital-Ozaukee Campus in Mequon, WI.

She was born on July 23, 1921 to Nicholas and Barbara Oberst Buchholz in Grafton.  While employed at Bolens Products in Port Washington, she met Norbert Augustin of Port Washington and married him May 17, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton.  They lived on West Main Street in Port Washington raising their family.  She was a proud full-time mom and homemaker.  They later moved to North Webster Street with the doors always open to family and friends.

She enjoyed sewing quilts for all her children and crocheted afghans for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She proudly made and kept scrapbooks for all.  She and her husband enjoyed worldly travels, and were especially fond of Belgium and Germany when their son Frank lived there and the Island of Mallorca and England to visit their daughter Donna and her family.  She collected plates and spoons from their many travels.

She was a life member of the Ozaukee Memorial Auxiliary VFW Post 5373, St. Mary
