Tom attended Port Washington High School where he became an accomplished wrestler being undefeated conference champion for two consecutive years and achieving a third place standing in state level competition.  He went on to the University of Wisconsin on a wrestling scholarship ultimately relocating to Boulder, CO.  He finished an ironworker apprenticeship becoming a journeyman working that trade for 30 years during which he settled in Denver, a city he loved.

A lifelong passion was bicycles and bicycling.  Over the years he pedaled cross country several times, befriending many biking enthusiasts, and becoming a skilled cycle builder and repairman.  He made and rode unicycles as a fun-loving hobby.

In more recent years he held various odd jobs meeting numerous people in all walks of life resulting, over a lifetime, in the development of countless friends.  He was a kind man often quietly helping others and donating time and goods to those he saw as needy or troubled.  He was a gentle soul, now missed by many.

The family wishes to thank staff members at both the oncology unit at Littleton Adventist Hospital and the Porter Hospice Residence for their caring service to Tom.  Additionally, we wish to thank the numerous friends of Tom who quickly reached out to him and the family in a virtual outpouring of personal contacts.
