Gereld M. “Jerry” Schwartz, age 85, of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin; formerly of Mercer, Milwaukee and Port Washington; passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.

He was born on March 25, 1936 in Mercer; son of Lawrence and Anna Louise Cayer Schwartz. Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 through 1956. Upon his return, Jerry married Beverly J. Holmes of Mercer on August 17, 1957 in Mercer, WI. He worked as a machinist in the area and remained in the Army Reserves until 1961.
Sadly Bev passed away May 9, 1985. The family would move to Milwaukee where Jerry took a job with Harmon Products of Butler, WI. He also worked as a mailman for a few years.

On March 11, 1986, Jerry married Barbara Addy Mathieu of Milwaukee in Hurley, WI. After a few years they moved to Port Washington where she worked for the Port Washington-Saukville School district. Prior to her retirement, the couple moved to Cedar Grove. Barbara preceded him in death on September 13, 2017.

Jerry is survived by his son Kevin (Holly) Schwartz of West Allis, grandchildren Katie (Zach) Bohlman, Eric (Brenda), Megan, Joshua, Timmy and Sarah Schwartz; great-grandchildren Aidan, Madison, Taylor, David, Baileigh, Jackson and Levi; his sisters Nancy (the late Dennis) Dwyer and Marilyn (Richard) Johnson, his brothers James, Lawrence (Patricia) and Remi (Lorraine) Schwartz, daughter-in-law Missy Schwartz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wives, his daughter Linda Cross, his son Gereld Schwartz, his sister Mavis Ritchie and his brother Wally Schwartz.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the POOLE FUNERAL HOME/Crematory, 203 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI with military honors. Visitation from 1-3PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to services.
