LaVerne L. Redig, 67, of E Dodge Street, Port Washington died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee Campus in Mequon.
She was born in Port Washington on October 14, 1937 to Richard “Pops” Margaret Pesch Bossler. She met Wally Redig of Marshfield, Wisconsin on July 2, 1966 in Port Washington. LaVerne worked at Formart Containers, in Cedarburg for over 39 years, retiring in 2001 as a floor supervisor. She also worked as a clerk at the former Donut Depot. She was a real cat person and enjoyed her cats over the years and currently her cat Moon.
LaVerne is survived by her husband Wally and children Dawn (Bill) Wetzel of Jackson and Dale Redig of Port Washington. She is further survived by sisters Hiltrude (Norbert) Federspeil, Bernice (the late Fran) Winnemuller, Caroline (Arnold) Ansay and Helen Eich all of Port Washington, other relatives and friends. An infant son and brothers John “Butch” and Jerald “JT” Bossler precede her in death.
Reverend Allan Sommer will officiate funeral services 7:30 pm Monday, April 18, 2005 at the funeral home. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. VIsitation after 4:30 pm Monday at he funeral home with a rosary at 4:30 pm. Memorials Appreciated.
