Harold “Harry” Preisler, 79, of S Milwaukee Street, Fredonia died Wed. Feb. 25, 2009 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon.
He was born August 1, 1929 in Port Washington to Charles and Rose Preisler. He served in the Army during the Korean War. On June 2, 1956 he married Cecilia “Cece” Schmit at St Mary’s Church in Port Washington. A life long resident of Fredonia he was a Master Plumber for Steffen’s Plumbing and Heating for 45 years, retiring in 1995.
Harry was a soft spoken, humble man. He was a true family man, unselfishly devoting himself to his wife and daughter Ann. He was the number one fan of his grandchildren in all their sporting events.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Cece, children Ann, John (Cindy), David (Lori) and Scott (Brenda) Preisler all of Fredonia. Further survived by grandchildren Stacy, Julie, Brian, Sean, Matthew, Amber, Ashley and Mitchell Preisler, sisters Betty Lanser, Marilyn (Gerald “Premo”) Prom, brother Richard (JoAnn) Paulus, other relatives and many friends. Preceded by his parents, son Michael, brother Donald, mother and father-in-law John (Cecilia) Schmit and brother-in-law Al Lanser.
Funeral Mass NOON Sat. Feb. 28 at Holy Rosary Parish-St. Rose Chapel, Fredonia. Visitation 9AM-NOON Sat. AT CHURCH. Memorials to Portal Industries or charity of choice appreciated.
