Nash, Rosemary

Rosemary E. Nash, 83, of Summit Drive, Port Washington died at her residence November 7, 2008.

She was born September 10, 1925 in Port Washington to Peter and Rose Goeden Rinn.  She graduated from Port Washington High School in 1943 and then attended the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1947.  She began working as an OB Nurse at the former St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington.  On December 20, 1947 she married Douglas Nash of Milwaukee in Port Washington.

Rosemary left nursing to raise her family.  In 1968 she started working as a Registered Nurse at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington and continued there until retiring in 1991.  Her husband Douglas preceded her in death January 13, 1991.  She always kept a clean house and enjoyed baking, making wonderful breads and butterhorns.  She like to keep her mind active by solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her daughters Kristine (John) Frey of Menomonee Falls, Merry (Lew) Heimerl of Fredonia and Jeanne Nash of Port Washington.  Further survived by grandchildren Matthew Heimerl of Sheboygan, Laura (Mark) Morgan of Milwaukee, Amanda Heimerl of Cedar Grove and Colin Frey of Menomonie Falls, brother Charles (Evelyn) Rinn of Port Washington, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Rev. Tom Lijewski will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 1 pm Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at St. Mary’s Church, 430 N Johnson Street, Port Washington.  Entombment parish cemetery.  Visitation 11 am  – 1 pm Wednesday AT CHURCH.  Memorials to St. Mary’s Church appreciated.
