MuellerWilliamJWilliam J. Mueller, 56, of W Linden Street, Saukville, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee Campus in Mequon.

He was born September 9, 1949 to Reginald and Elfrieda Mertzeig Mueller in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.  He grew up in Batavia until the family moved to Saukville when he was in the fifth grade.  He graduated from Port Washington High School.  After graduation, he began working at Simplicity Manufacturing Company in Port Washington.   He worked there for 36 years as a powder coater and was a member of the International Association of Machinists, local 1430.

Willie married Jeannette “Nettie” Werner of Amberg, Wisconsin on August 28, 1976 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville, Wisconsin.  He was strong in his faith and was a past member of the Immaculate Conception Church Board and member of St. Peter’s Men’s Club.  When his son was younger he coached basketball at Immaculate Conception and was an assistant coach at Port Catholic, he was also a Boy Scout leader.  Willie loved to fish and had a  strong and upbeat personality with a good sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette “Nettie” and son Chris Mueller of Saukville.  Further survived by his father Reggie (Helen) Mueller of Cedarburg, brothers Reggie (Pam) Mueller, Jr. of Boling Brook, Illinois and Jeff (Karen) Mueller of Bullhead City, Arizona, in-laws William (Ellie) Werner of Wausaukee, Wisconsin, grandmother Ruth Mueller of Saukville, other relatives and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his mother Elfrieda “Freida” and an infant brother Joseph.

The Rev. Karl Acker will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial 7 pm Monday, April 17, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 145 Church Street in Saukville.  Interment parish cemetery.  Visitation 4 – 6:45 pm Monday April 17 at church.  Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
