Nancy A. Melsheimer, 79, of Pheasant Lane, Fredonia died January 22, 2009 at her residence.
She was born April 4, 1929 in Port Washington to Lawrence M. and Gladys M. Brott Reiter. She was an only child and grew up in Port Washington, marrying William R. Melsheimer, also of Port Washington on November 30, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. After her marriage they moved to Milwaukee and raised a family while her husband worked for the railroad. He preceded her in death November 29, 2003.
Nancy enjoyed being a homemaker and prided herself with her family. In 2004 she moved to Fredonia to live with her daughter. She enjoyed sudoku, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing canasta and board games with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children William (Carol) Melsheimer of Frisco, TX, Candice (Michael) Kostowicz of South Milwaukee, Patrice (Calvin) Comparin of Fredonia, Richard (Lois) Melsheimer of Logan, IA, Roxanne Melsheimer of Milwaukee, Barbara Melsheimer of Milwaukee, Suzanne Young of Milwaukee and Patrick (Debra) Melsheimer of Sussex. Further survived by 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Reverend Richard Fleischmann will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 6 PM Monday, February 2, 2009 at Holy Rosary Parish – St. Rose Chapel, 315 Fredonia Avenue, Fredonia. Visitation 4 – 6 PM Monday AT CHURCH. Interment 11 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Resurrection Cemetery, 9401 W. Donges Bay Road, Mequon. Memorials to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society appreciated.
