Thomas R. Lambrecht , age 74, of Port Washington, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, with his loving wife beside him.  He was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 8, 1947, to the late Erich Alois and the late Louise Catherine (Malensek) Lambrecht.

Tom was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving his country from 1966-1972.  He served in Vietnam from 1967-1968 with Company A, 459th Signal Battalion, 1st Signal Brigade, 24th Infantry Division as a radio relay & carrier operator.  Sergeant E-5 Thomas R. Lambrecht was honorably discharged in 1972 and went on to retire from AT&T in 2001 after 33 years.

Tom and Kathy met in 1969 while working at Wisconsin Telephone Company, fell in love, and were married on August 22, 1970, spending an incredible 53 years together.  In 1974 they welcomed their son David Erich.  Together they enjoyed spending time at the family cottage, and in later years camping with family and friends. Tom was a proud Grandpa watching his 3 grandsons play football, basketball, and baseball.  He was known to have the best-looking lawn on the block and enjoyed fishing, golf, and lunches with his best buddies.

Tom will be missed by his beloved wife Kathy, loving son David (Kelly), dearest grandsons Collin, Gabriel, and Griffin.  Dear Son-in- Law to Margaret Chyla.  Further survived by many loving family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his sister Gayle, brother Gary and father-in-law David Chyla.

Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the family.  Per Tom’s wishes, a private service was held with family and a Military Funeral Honors Ceremony is pending.

Memorials in Tom’s name to the Wisconsin Stars and Stripes Honor Flight are appreciated.
