Richard G. “Dick” Jushka, age 61, of Viola Circle, Port Washington, WI died unexpectedly Monday, February 9, 2015 while at work.
He was born on March 3, 1953, son of Anthony J. and Anna Ruth Conrad Jushka in Port Washington. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Port Washington High School, class of 1971.
On December 1, 1973, Dick married Susan M. Bialzik of Belgium at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Church. For many years, Dick worked in the Maintenance Department at the former St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington until it closed and transferred to the new Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospital-Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. Combined, he worked over 42 years. He enjoyed his work and the people he came in contact with every day. He was dedicated; coming in early and staying late.
Dick liked to have fun and time spent with family and friends. Some of his passions included grilling, gardening, fishing and hunting. He was always proud and active sports fan from the comforts of his home.
He is survived by his wife Sue; three daughters Nicole (Dan) DeYarman of Rice Lake, Rachael (Tom) Carter of Wauwatosa and Crystal (Tony) McCoy of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren Samantha, Hailey, Sarah, Joshua, Noah, Anna, Joseph and Benjamin; his sisters Pamela (Phil) Westfahl of Port Washington and Mary Pat (Lin) Eshleman of Littleton, CO; three brothers Paul (Carol) Jushka of Port Washington, Peter (Marilyn) Jushka of Batavia, IL and Tom Jushka of Waukesha; his mother-in-law Joan Tholl of Belgium; two sisters-in-law Janice (Dale) Weyenberg of Green Bay and Mary (Tim) Kohlwey of Grafton and brother-in-law Eugene (Pat) Bialzik of Saukville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, February 14, 2015 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1802 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington. Reverend Patrick Wendt will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held from 10am-12Noon Saturday AT CHURCH prior to Mass.
