Clara M. Holk, age 97, formerly of Saukville, WI passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls, WI where she had recently called home.
She was born on March 21, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI; daughter of John and Pelagia Blazejewicz Kopczynski. After high school, Clara worked at the former Milwaukee Glove Company. On September 24, 1949, Clara married James A. Holk of Milwaukee at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
In 1955, the family moved to Saukville. Clara was an active homemaker and parish member. In her faith community, Clara was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish Christian Women of Saukville. She was a great baker and quite skilled at embroidery.
Her husband James preceded her in death on July 22, 1990.
In her later years she enjoyed reading and her Word Search puzzles.
Clara is survived by her children James Holk of Arlington, VA, Janice (Carl) Muffler of Menomonee, MI, Phillip (Juli) Holk of Adell and Sandra (David) Drzewiecki of Grafton, grandchildren Nicholas, Annelle, Brenda, Beth, Cathryn, Nicole, Rachel and Andrew; great-grandchildren Jessica, Ryan, Alyssa, Alexandra, Abigail, Jessica, Alexandra “Ali”, Sean, Owen, Ethan, Jacob, step-great grandchildren Jordan and Tyler and Justin and great-great grandchildren Peter John “PJ”, Bentley, Willow, Madelyn and Benjamin, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband James, two sons Thomas and Bruce Holk, two grandsons Thomas Drzewiecki and Michael Holk, four sisters Alice Lezala, Julia Elcheroth, Helen and Rose Kopczynski and her brother Edmund Kopczynski.
Funeral services will be held in Spring, 2019 with final interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saukville.
