Gerstl, Dianne C. “Jean”

Dianne C. “Jean” Gerstl, age 78, of Saukville, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Saturday, March 19,
2022 at Forest Haven Assisted Living in Fredonia, WI.

Born in Milwaukee, WI on July 18, 1943, Jean was raised by her loving parents Donald and Martha Koskinen.  Jean was blessed with 2 daughters.

Her job skills were many. She had a positive impact on many people throughout her life. She was a server/bartender and a nanny for many years while she was raising her girls. As her girls grew older, she prepared meals at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington. She also worked for Exacto Springs Manufacturing in Grafton where she retired.

Jean’s family was always her top priority. She was the best mom and Grandma Jean anyone could ever have! She was a ” 2nd Mom” to many of her daughter’s friends and “Grandma Jean” to many of her grandchildren’s friends.

She kept busy with many hobbies, sharing her talents with others. Crocheting and sewing were her specialty. There was no craft she couldn’t master!

She is survived by her daughters Deb (Kevin Byrnes) Deutsch of Saukville and Cosette Hamilton of Brighton, CO; seven grandchildren Michael (Beth) Hamilton, Alyssa (Jake) Bennett, Ryan, Nick and Anthony Deutsch and Harleigh and Emma Arndt; great grandchildren Lily, Oliver, Luca and Orion; special friend Steve Schlaefer and other relatives and friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Pat Schmidt.

Memorial funeral services will be held at 5PM Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5PM Wednesday prior to services.
