Clarence Leroy Faber, formerly of Milwaukee and West Bend, WI found peace, surrounded by his family, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the age of 85 after a courageous battle with cancer at his daughter’s home in Saukville, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Hilda Faber, his beloved wife Kathleen (nee Keller) and his granddaughter Amy Wickert.

Clarence is the dear father of Michael (Delma) Faber, Sandra Murrell, Sharon Schwanke, Susan (Ron) Wickert, Martin Faber and his tireless caregivers Sheila (Tom) McIlree. He is a proud “Papa” to his ten grandchildren Jessica (Thad) Florczak, Rebecca (Dustin) Sydorowicz, Richard Faber, Ashley (Sean) Wegner, Angela (Mike) Kraus, Stacey Schwanke and Brandon Schwanke, Joseph (Stephanie) McIlree, Kayla (Mike) Rosewitz and Krystal McIlree and his five great-grandchildren Jenea, Malea, Royce, Aidan and Asher. He is the cherished brother of Myrna (Gerry) Goegeline and loving uncle to their children. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Clarence was a quiet, patient man and father; a kind and loyal friend to all. Born on February 20, 1935 in Rice Lake, WI to Marion and Hilda (Wernar) Faber; he graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee, later serving with the National Guard. On August 15, 1959 he married Kathleen Ann Keller of Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2002.

Clarence worked as an auto mechanic at the former Keller’s Garage in Milwaukee and worked for many years with Roundy’s Inc, retiring in 1998.
In retirement, Clarence enjoyed attending activities with his grandchildren, eating out-especially Friday fish frys and raising a glass with family and friends. He loyally cheered on his Wisconsin sports teams, especially the Packers.

Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee.

A celebration of Clarence’s life will take place at a later date.

Clarence’s family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the caregivers and staff of Aurora Home Hospice for their kindness and support.
