John Michael Curtin, “Robo”, 60, of East Monroe Street in Port Washington died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Peoria, Illinois on September 1, 1948 to Edward and Catherine Jean Curtin Heilman. He grew up in Peoria and served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1977. In 1985 he came to Port Washington for work. He worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for AO Smith Company in Milwaukee and briefly worked at Simplicity Manufacturing in Port Washington before he began working for Mixer Systems Inc. in Pewaukee as an International Sales Manager. He enjoyed cooking and socializing with his friends..
Robo is survived by his children Mike “Drapes” (Tanya) Curtin of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, Eric (Rachel) Curtin of Port Washington and Michelle (Alphonse) Wichman of Port Washington. Further survived by his grandchildren Gavin, Carter, Hudson, Jennah, Spencer, Regan and Madison, his mother Catherine Jean O’Brien of Peoria, Illinois, brother Dennis Curtinof Metamora, Illinois, sister Samara Neer of Boulder City, Colorado, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the funeral home. Visitation 1 – 3 pm Saturday. Memorials appreciated.
