Bernice E. Conrad, 88, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at Anita’s Garden on East Van Buren Street in Port Washington.

She was born inPort Washington to Nic and Hilda Schommer Conrad on December 19, 1919.  She worked for the former Midwest Outerwear in Port Washington and later as a secretary for the Ozaukee County Office of Aging and St. Mary’s Parish.  Living on West  Oakland Avenue for many years, she moved to West Lincoln Avenue in the last few years and had just moved to Anita’s Garden in November on 2007.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, it’s Christian Women and Choir for many years.  Bernice also enjoyed being a volunteer reader to students at Dunwiddie School in Port Washington until a few years ago.

Bernice is survived by nieces and nephews Scott (Brigette) Conrad of Grafton, Brian (Linda) Conrad of Belgium, Sandy (Lynus) Lepak of   Belgium, Jacky (Glenn) Kaltenbrun of Port Washington, Mike (Sue) Medinger of Oostburg and Barb (Joe) Neal of Belgium.  Further       survived by sister-in-law Carol Conrad of Port Washington, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Preceded by her sister Arlie “Fritz” Medinger, Brother Bill Conrad and brother-in-law Wilmer Medinger.

Rev. Tom Lijewski will celebrate Mass Of Christian Burial 6 pm Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 430 N Johnson Street, Port Washington.  Interment parish cemetery.  Visitation 4 – 6 pm Tuesday at church with a 4 pm rosary.  Memorials to St. Mary’s Church or Port Catholic School appreciated.
