Linda L. Carrig, 60, of W Washington Street, Port Washington, died Monday February 12, 2007 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee Campus in Mequon.
She was born May 26, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Charlotte Kowakoska Bereta. She grew up in Chicago, but fell in love with Port Washington during trips to Wisconsin. She married John Carrig in Hawaii on March 10, 1991 and moved to Port Washington in 1992. They lived on Montgomery Street where she enjoyed tending to her garden. She enjoyed travelling and moved to Florida for a while, but returned to Port Washington. Linda worked at the Harborside Best Western Hotel and most recently at McDonald’s.
She is survived by her husband John Carrig of Port Washington, children Anthony Trevino and Sandra (Rufus) Ewing. Further survived by grandchildren Anthony and Elizabeth Trevino and Cecilia and Michelle Ewing, great grandson Anthony Trevino, brothers Joseph, John, Donald and Jimmy Bereta, sister Sandy Bereta, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Andrew J. McGann and Son Funeral Home in Chicago, Illinois. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
