Albert H. Burmesch, age 68, of Port Washington (town of Belgium), Wisconsin passed away Friday, December 2, 2022.
He was born to Clarence and Sidonia (Strauss) Burmesch on December 4, 1953 in Port Washington.
A lifelong resident of Ozaukee County, Al was known for his exceptional work in the masonry field throughout local and the greater Milwaukee areas.
Al was known for his generosity and fun nature. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoe, trap shooting and other games of challenge, as well as an avid race car and sports fan.
Albert had a rough year and a half, trying to overcome several surgeries and illness.
The family would like to thank those who provided care and assistance throughout this time such as Dr. Yost and Jake from Orthopedic Hospital, the staff of Newcastle Place in Mequon, Drs. Bauer, Lucke, Broderick, Witkowski and Shirilla, the staff of Froedert Specialty Clinic, the ALS Association, amongst others. A special “thank you” to Belgium Gardens and Allay Hospice for their care in his last days to Al.
He is survived by his sister Angeline (Gary) Desotelle of Saukville, his brothers James (Mary) Burmesch and Peter (Ellie) Burmesch, both of Port Washington, nephews Justin (Julie) Burmesch of Campbellsport and Andrew (Eve) Burmesch of Belgium, niece Beth (Rick) Kroll of Cleveland, WI, other relatives and many friends.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Katherine Burmesch.
Family services will be held with final interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, town of Belgium, Wisconsin.
