BlumenbergMaryJaneMary Jane Blumenberg, 76, of Summit Drive, Port Washington died Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee Campus in Mequon.

She was born in the West Bend area at Big Cedar Lake, Wisconsin on July 23, 1929 to Frank and Clara Hacker Hinsenkamp.  She met Wesley “Wes” Blumenberg of Port Washington and they were married June 5, 1954 in West Bend.

Mary was a wonderful wife and mother.  She was an exceptional knitter and great cook.  She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords and animals.  When she wasn’t cheering on the Green Bay Packers she supported Notre Dame Football.  Mary loved the holiday seasons and made them all so special, especially Christmas.  Her family was her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband Wes and four children Ann (Al) Augustin of Port Washington, Jay Blumenberg of Port Washington, Mark Blumenberg of Grafton and Brian (Kathy) Blumenberg of Neenah, Wisconsin.  Mary was a proud grandma to Katie, Megan and Molly Augustin and Logan, Matthew and Dylan Blumenberg.  Further survived by her brother Herbert (Jane) Hinsenkamp of Fort Wayne, Indiana, other relatives and friends.  Preceded by her parents and her brother Raymond “Buddy” Hinsenkamp.

Fr. Allan Sommer will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial Noon Saturday, January 21, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Washington.  Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.  Family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice appreciated.
