George J. Biliskov, age 85, of Port Washington, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

He was born on August 27, 1936 in Chicago, IL; son of Angelo and Eva Bedalov Biliskov.  He attended Holy Trinity Croatian School and Tilden High School in Chicago, later going to Washburne Trade School to be a journeyman machinist.

On May 11, 1957, George married Marie A. Strukl, also of Chicago at Holy Trinity Croatian Church.  George took a job with Danly Machine Corp. while living in Chicago.  George started as a machinist and moved up to plant superintendent.  He would later move to Hickory Hills and then Downers Grove, IL, where they would raise their growing family.  The Biliskovs would move to Mequon, WI where George worked for Monarch Machining and then became a consultant for General Motors.  He would move to Novi, MI to work for Komatsu of America as a Parts Manager and would then return to Wisconsin settling in Port Washington in 2001.  George continued to consult for Komatsu and finally retired at the age of 80.

Proud of his Croatian heritage, George was also a quiet man of faith.  As a member of St. John XXIII Parish in Port Washington, George was an active volunteer.  As a Communicant and Funeral Acolyte, George served in his faith and community.  He assisted the parish in its St. Mary’s school move to St. Peter’s campus.  He also valued the parish children and will be remembered teaching the folding of palms during Lent.  .

George is survived by his wife Marie; his three sons Michael (Cathy) Biliskov of Brighton, MI, George Joseph (Susan) Biliskov of Loudon, TN and Joseph (Jill) Biliskov of Grafton; six grandsons Michael, Bradley (Nicole), Jeffrey (Ashley), Jason, Sam and Nik Biliskov; two great grandsons Landon and Bryson Biliskov; his brother Raymond (Jan) Biliskov of Schaumburg, IL; brother-in-law Joseph (Lois) Strukl of Midlothian, VA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends around the world.

He is preceded by his parents, his sister Anne and her husband Hank May and three brothers Victor, Emil and his wife Helen and Anthony and his wife Sylvia Biliskov.

A Mass with be celebrated at 12 Noon, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at St. John XXIII-St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1802 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI.  The Reverend Patrick Wendt will be the celebrant.  Visitation will take place from 10AM-11:45AM Thursday prior to Mass AT CHURCH.

Final Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.

Memorials to the St. John XXIII Parish would be appreciated.
