Paul H. Becker, 83, of Maple Crest died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee Campus in Mequon, Wisconsin.

He was born September 11, 1921 in Glendale, Wisconsin to Emil and Anna Grams Becker.  He served in the 985th Field Artillery Battalion of the Army during World War Two.  Upon returning to the states, Paul began working for Miller Brewing in Milwaukee, retiring as a shipping supervisor in 1979.  In 1984 he moved to N Wisconsin Street in Port Washington and lived there for 20 years, just recently moving to Maple Crest.  Although he was retired he helped his son out at the Port Apothecary by delivering perscriptions.  He was know as “Paul” or “Grandpa” to everyone, not “Mr. Becker”.   He was the kind of man that everyone truly enjoyed being with.

Paul was supportive to his family and friends and enjoyed baking breads and brownies for everyone.  He would often help out by picking up the grandkids from school, or taking them to activities or for ice cream.  He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater.  In Wisconsin he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and he also enjoyed his big game hunting trips with his son to New Mexico, Wyoming and Colorado.  He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and various conservation and game organizations.

He is survived by his children Marty (Cindy) Becker of Port Washington and Candyce (Ron) Trimarco of Venice, Florida.  He was the proud grandpa of Matt, Sarah, Kaitra, Colleen, Brian, Patrick and Kevin and 8 great grandchildren.  He had dear friends in Annie Mentkowski, Betsy Shapiro, Chris Eldredge, the Mark Rosewitz Family and the Kindschy family.  Further survived by other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Harvey.

Paul’s family will celebrate his life 4 – 7 pm Thursday, July 28, 2005 at the funeral home with a time of sharing at 7 pm.  Memorials to Port Catholic School or the Food Pantry appreciated.
