Carol J. Barsch, age 69, of Lincoln Avenue in Port Washington, WI passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, March 20, 2014.

She was born on August 20, 1944, daughter of Carl and Emma Minkel Giese in Port Washington, WI.  She grew up in Saukville, graduating from Port Washington High School in 1962.

On October 29, 1966, Carol married Roger R. Barsch of Port Washington at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville.  Together they lived in Port Washington.  For some 18 years, Carol worked at the Ozaukee County Courthouse and Justice Center in Port Washington, retiring in 2007.

Carol valued the time that she spent with family and friends. These relationships were very important to her. She enjoyed shopping . She loved fishing and being up north. .

She is survived by her husband Roger, her daughters Shelly (Bill) Schnitzer of Fredonia and Sharon Barsch of Oak Creek, her favorite grandson Ethan Jarosinski, her two brothers Alvin (Lois) Giese of Grafton and Elroy (Linda) Giese of Saukville.  Carol is further survived by her brothers-in-law Henry Mueller of Saukville, Harry (Elsie) Barsch of Cocoa, FL and Paul Barsch of Milwaukee and her sisters-in-law Doreen Koopmann of Mequon and Denise Neumann of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lorraine Mueller and her brothers-in-law James, Allan and Roland Barsch and Del Koopmann.

Friends and family are welcome to the graveside service 10 am Saturday, March 29 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington.  Memorials to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 200 S. Executive Drive Suite 203, Brookfield, WI 53005 are appreciated.
