Dorothy K. Ansay, 91, formerly of 1225 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington died Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Port Washington where she had been a resident the last 5 years.

She was born on April 9, 1914 in Coal Springs South Dakota to John and Harriet Brayton Rieth.  When she was 18 months old her mother died and her father moved the family to Holy Cross, the town of Belgium, Wisconsin.

On May 11, 1935 she married Walter M. Ansay from the town of Port Washington at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Town of Belgium.  Together they farmed in the Town of Port Washington until 1971 and moved to the city of Port Washington.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 1995.  She continued to live in her Grand Avenue home until February, 1999 when she moved to Heritage Nursing Center.  Throughout her life she enjoyed tending her garden and reading.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Janice (Richard) Becker of the Town of Belgium, sons Norbert (Nancy) Ansay of the Town of Port Washington, John G. (Winnie) Ansay of Belgium and Daniel Ansay of Milwaukee, grandchildren Beth (Tom) Wilson, Cathy, Michael (Linda), William (Sherri), John J. and David Ansay, sister-in-law Myrtle Bley of Port Washington,  other relatives and friends.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7PM Thursday, April 21 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington.  The Reverend Pat Wendt will be the celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Mary
