G. Douglas Zieber, 85, of Parknoll Circle in Port Washington, Wisconsin died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was born September 25, 1930 in Milwaukee to George G. and Lora Marhenke Zieber. He married Elizabeth A. “Betty” Oehler on September 29, 1949 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death March 4, 2008.
G. Douglas is survived by his children Christine (Richard) Camomilli of New Holstein, Wisconsin, Kent Zieber of Port Washington and Dory (Mike) Kerkman of Dunedin, Florida. Further survived by his grandchildren Kevin, Kari, Anthony, Ben, Cassandra and Zachary; great-grandchildren Liam and Jude, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents and one brother.
Family services have been held. Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, Wisconsin.

He always told me, “act enthusiastic and you’ll be enthusiastic!”. He always loved to have conversation. To look people in the eye when talking. To never sweat, because when you sweat you stink and when you stink people won’t like you (or buy from you) To remember that the world has enough try’ers, what we need are more doers.
He loved a good party. He loved his family, his wife, our beloved Grandma Betty, his children, his grand children, and his GREAT grandchildren. He walked me down the aisle. He helped me through some really crappy times when growing up. He was always there. He was always smiling. He was a great man, with powerful energy and a strong spirit. He was my grandfather. Heaven got a good one today, and God, if you need a break from him I’ll take him for a day. I understand he can be a handful, but I think Grandma will keep him in line. I promise to always be enthusiastic and smile. I love you Grandpa, the world will not be the same without you.
