Carole F. Whitfield, 86, of County Road A, Fredonia (Town of Farmington) died Friday, November 4, 2005 at Belgium Gardens Assisted Living, Belgium.
She was born October 20, 1919 in Milwaukee to Kendall F. and Otteley Aschenbrenner Collins. On April 25, 1942 she married Arthur Whitfield of Des Moines, Iowa in Milwaukee. For many years she resided in Fox Point, raising her family and working at the Fox Point Pharmacy and Fitzgerald’s. Her husband was a radio and television announcer for WTMJ. Upon his retirement in the early 1980’s, they moved to the Town of Farmington. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2004
She is survived by her sons Collins Parkin (Kathleen) Whitfield of Oak Brook, IL and Nicolas Faxon Whitfield of Woodruff, WI; four grandchildren Britt Callaghan Whitfield, Collins Parkin Whitfield, Jr., David Faxon Whitfield and Hannah Faxon Whitfield, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on the family farm on June 3, 2006. Interment Whitfield Family Cemetery in the Town of Farmington. Memorials to the charity of choice appreciated.
