Watry, Hazel

Hazel R. Watry, 97, formerly of W. Meadowbrook Drive, West Bend died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Samaritan Health Care Center in West Bend.

She was born March 7, 1913 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to William and Ida Mary Koch Borgenhagen.  On Decemeber 21, 1947 she married Wilmer Watry in Port Washington.  They lived on Highway W in the Town of Saukville.  She worked at the former Bolens Manufacturing Plant and former Badger Outer Wear both in Port Washington.  Later she lived on Garfield and Moore Road.  Her husband Wilmer preceded her in death November 18, 1972.

Hazel was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed camping with her husband and traveling to Florida and Mexico.  She was active at Friedens Evangelical Church years ago and cared for her mother Ida Stieg.  She was a baker and enjoyed cooking, sewing and knitting.

Pastor Brandon Lemons will officiate funeral services 6 pm Friday, October 29, 2010 at Friedens Evangelical Church, 454 N Milwaukee Street, Port Washington.  Interment Union Cemetery.  Visitation 4 – 6 pm Friday at church.
