Doris A. Tomkiewicz, 66, of Beutel Road, Port Washington died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Ozaukee Campus in Mequon.
Born February 18, 1937 to William and Dorothy Landon Grieshammer in Madison, Wisconsin she was an only child. She met Ernest Tomkiewicz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married him September 29, 1956 in Milwaukee. In 1965 they moved to Port Washington from Germantown and raised their family, involving herself with the cub scouts and brownies. Doris was an artist and loved to paint. Above all, Doris lived for her kids and grandchildren, she loved being a grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest and five children, Gregory (Judith) Tomkiewicz of Mequon, Jeffrey Tomkiewicz of Port Washington, Laura (Steven) Rostankowski of the town of Port Washington, Steven (Nicole) Tomkiewicz of the town of Saukville and Julie (Dan) Movrich of Port Washington. She was a proud grandma to Angela Rostankowski, Amelia Movrich, Danielle Movrich, Melissa Appleby, AlecTomkiewicz, Cole Tomkiewicz and Mason Tomkiewicz. Further survived by other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services 10 AM Friday, January 9th from the funeral home to St. Peter of Alcantara Church for Mass at 10:30 AM. Entombment parish cemetery. Visitation 4 – 7 PM Thursday, January 8th at the funeral home with a 7 pm rosary. Memorials to St. Peter’s Church appreciated.
