Janet E. Schuknecht, 58, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at  Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

She was born October 10, 1948 in Port Washington to William C. and Virginia E. Schultz Schuknecht.  After she graduated from Port Washington High School, she worked for the Boehn – Madisen Lumber Company in Menomonee  Falls  as  a  bookkeeper  and  lived  in Menomonee Falls for many years with her cats.  She was a member of  St. Anthony Parish and choir in Menomonee Falls.

In 2000 she suffered a stroke and moved to Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 2001.  Janet loved Christmastime decorations, was an avid Packer and Brewer Fan and enjoyed country music.  She liked to cross-stitch,  paint  and do other crafts and she had participated in the Ozaukee County Fair with her cross-stitch and needlework projects.

She is survived by her father, William Schuknecht of Port Washington, brother Gerald “Jerry” Schuknecht of Port Washington, sisters Judy (Loren) Kaye of Adams, Wisconsin and Carol (James “Novi”) Novshek of Port Washington.  Further survived by nephews Justin and Ian Novshek and niece Carissa Novshek all of Port Washington, uncle Dr. Robert (the late Kathy) Schuknecht of Saukville, aunts Elnor Hecimovich of Madison, Wisconsin and Dorothy Anderson of Clermon, Florida, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her mother Virginia �Jinny� and a brother David Schuknecht.

Reverend Patrick Wendt will celebrate a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 6 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N Wisconsin Street, Port Washington.  Interment parish Cemetery.  Visitation 4 – 6 pm Tuesday at church.
