Prom, Gerald

Gerald C. Prom “Gerry”, 66, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at his White Pines Group Home residence in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

He was born March 1, 1945 in Port Washington, Wisconsin to John and Cecelia Zipperer Prom.  He grew up on the family farm on County KK in the Town of Port Washington and worked with his parents.  In the late 1980’s he moved to Whitewater.  He was a chatty, talkative man and handy, enjoying time in the workshop.  He liked going out for meals and group travel and events.

He is survived by his sister Delores (Jim) Tenpenny of the Town of Port Washington, brothers Donald (Pat) Prom of the Town of Port Washington and Kenneth Prom of Milwaukee.  Further survived by brother-in-law Richard Fritsch of Slinger, other reltives and friends.  Preceded by his sisters Rosemary Brydon & Bernadine Fritsch, brother James Prom and step-brother Robert Neuman.

Reverend Patrick Wendt will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Gerald and his sister Bernadine at 12 Noon Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1802 N Wisconsin Street, Port Washington.  Interment Parish cemetery.  Visitation 11 am – Noon Saturday at church.  Memorial for masses appreciated.
