Doris E. Peiffer, 88, of First Street in Waubeka died Monday, November 6, 2006 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, Ozaukee Campus in Mequon, Wisconsin.

She was born March 9, 1918 in Waubeka to Hugo and Linda Schulze Wenzel.  She was a life long resident and married Harry Peiffer of Holy Cross, Wisconsin on June 17, 1939 at Holy Cross.  She worked as an inspector for Power Products in Grafton, as well as Hi-Tran in Waubeka and Gilson Foundry in Fredonia as a core-maker.  She was an independent, strong willed and quick witted woman who cared for her family and her special canine pal Sydney.  Her husband Harry, daughter Patricia Mae Eichstaedt and her brothers Harold, Edward and Oscar Wenzel preceded her in death.

Doris is survived by her grandsons Ronald Eichstaedt of Platteville, WI, Steven (Jessica) Eichstaedt of Port Washington and Michael Eichstaedt of Waubeka and a great granddaughter Madelyn Eichstaedt.  She is further survived by son-in-law Allen (Patricia Ann) Eichstaedt of Waubeka, sister-in-law Florence Wenzel of Cedarburg, other relatives and friends.

Rev. Robert Zick of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredonia will officiate funeral services 7pm Friday, November 10, 2006 at the funeral home.  Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Waubeka.  Visitation will take place from 4 – 7 pm Friday at the funeral home.   Memorials to the Ozaukee Humane Society appreciated.
