PaapeMaryBethMary Beth Paape, 72, of County Highway W, town of Saukville, died November 8, 2008 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Ozaukee.

She was born November 4, 1936 in Milwaukee to Douglas and Anna Watry Bostwick and raised in Port Washington.  She lived most of her life in the town of Saukville.  She married James F. Paape of the town of Saukville on May 12, 1956 at St. Mary’s in Port Washington.  She worked for a while assisting with secretarial and reception for Dr. Bellknapp, a Cardiologist in Milwaukee and later Drs. Walsh and Henkle at the former St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington.  She left to raise her family and took an active role in the 4-H for many years.

Mary Beth spent many days tending to her flower beds and large vegetable garden, canning and freezing her harvests.  She was also a good cook and baker, sharing her apple kuchen and pumpkin squares.  In 1985 she returned to work at Saukville Fabricare for a few years.  She enjoyed taking bus tours with her husband to various casinos and theaters.  She liked to watch and feed the birds that frequented the river and her yard and was an animal lover with numerous family pets.  Her grandchildren were the the sparkle in her eye and she enjoyed spending time with them.

She is survived by her husband James of the town of Saukville, children Tom “Point” (Lou) Paape of Saukville, Tim (Katy) Paape of Saukville and Tracey (Stephen) Shaleski of Milwaukee.  Further survived by grandchildren Elizabeth, Kimberly, Michelle, Joshua and Jo Anna Paape, other relatives and friends.  Preceded by 2 infant children Kevin and Mary Lynn, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Rev. Karl Acker will celebrate a Memorial Mass at Noon on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church, 145 W Church Street, Saukville.  Visitation 10 am to Noon on Saturday AT CHURCH.  Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation appreciated.
