Arlene L. Mondloch, 88, died March 26, 2018 at her Belgium Gardens residence in Belgium, Wisconsin.

She was born November 2, 1929, in Port Washington, Wisconsin, to William J. and Gertrude Esselman Burton. On December 26, 1950, she married Arnold H. Mondloch of Belgium at Holy Cross, Wisconsin. Together they worked the family farm on Sauk Trail in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, and raised a family.

Arlene was the family organizer and supported her children in many ways. Along with her farm chores and making great homemade bread, she made sure her children made all their practices and games and had a cheerleader in the stands. She was also a member of the St. Mary’s Lake Church Christian Mothers and Belgium Memorial Unit 416 American Legion Auxiliary.

After Arnold’s death in 1989, she took a job with Guy & O’Neil in Fredonia to stay social. She moved to Belgium in 2001 and in 2016 moved to the Belgium Gardens. Arlene liked to Polka dance and had an infectious laugh that she shared often.

She is survived by her children Colleen (Roger) Kelling of Cedar Grove, WI, Phyllis (Paul) Check of LaCrosse, WI, Cliff (Laurie) Mondloch of West Bend, WI, Clyde (Traci) Mondloch of West Bend, WI, Joseph (Peggy) Mondloch of Holiday, Florida, Rick (Kristy) Mondloch of Appleton, WI and Al (Krisi) Mondloch of Oostburg, WI. Further survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold, a sister Carol Vande Boom and great- granddaughter Paula Isabella.

The Rev. Todd Budde will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 6pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Divine Savior Parish-Holy Cross Chapel, 5332 County Road B, Belgium. Visitation 3pm-6pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 AT CHURCH prior to the service. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lake Church.
